Global Education Summit Award- 2017 for PDM University Vice-Chancellor

Prof. (Dr.) A. K.Bakhshi, Vice-Chancellor PDM University was conferred with Global Education Summit Award -2017 on 5th August 2017 at a glittering function held at Hotel Royal Plaza in New Delhi. He was given this award for his outstanding and distinct contributions in the field of education.

Prof. Bakhshi spoke on MOOCs and Changing Roles of Teachers in Technology-driven Higher Education

Prof. Bakhshi spoke on MOOCs and Changing Roles of Teachers in Technology-driven Higher Education  at this Summit. He said that MOOCS have the potential to change the face of education in this country and that for implementation of MOOCs in India, teachers need to be trained in ICT skills so that they can manage virtual classrooms and discussion forums besides creating e-content.

Earlier this year Prof Bakhshi was awarded World Education Summit Award – 2017 in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Prof Bakhshi has also been felicitated two times in the past  by the former President of India Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam for his contributions in the field of education including e-transformation of the University of Delhi.
