Bienvenido-Freshers Party 2019
Fresher’s party in any college is an event which every student eagerly awaits from their time of admission. 6thSeptember,2019 was a memorable day in the life of every fresher of Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences Batch 2019-20. The purpose of the party was to make every new student feel connected as an integral part of Pharmaceutical family and be ready to take on the challenges of the year ahead. Jovial smiles and high spirits marked the welcome party for the new students. The party was organized at the Gym Area of the department. It manifested youth and enthusiasm at its best.
The occasion was graced by the presence of PDM university Vice- Chancellor Prof. A.K. Bakshi , Dean Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences Prof. Dr Hema Chaudhary and all faculty members. As a trend of the institute, the event began with the auspicious lamp lightning ceremony by the Dignitaries. Proceeding further, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Sir Prof. A.K. Bakshi delivered the motivational welcome speech.
Event commenced with the graceful dance performance by Tanvi and group of 3rd year. After this, there was a duet singing performance by Aayush and group from 2nd year. Simultaneously, a round for fresher’s introduction was conducted. All of them were impressive in their own way. Later on, the hosts attracted the audience by their miraculous aura by reciting sher-o-shayari and standup comedy. After this, some charming singing and solo dance performance were given by Aayush, Girish, Kapil and Mayank. Also, a 2nd year student, Piyush declaimed a beautiful poetry.
Then, all the participants of the joyous event came up with their unique and amble ramp walk . First round of performance went on very well. The energised dance performance was then given by 3rd year girls Neha and group. After the dance performance, results were declared and some dexterous students were selected for talent round. They astounded the stage with their hidden talent one by one. With this, the second round of judgment was over with lots of excitement. Then there was the mesmirising solo dance performance by the 2nd year student, Upneet.
The results were then declared and 6 contestants were finally selected including 3 boys and 3 girls for the final questionnaire round. The anchors asked some mind – twisting questions and the contestants were able to tackle them very well. This was the final stage and after the lunch all the selected contestants were eagerly waiting to know the results.
After this Dean Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences Prof. Dr. Hema Chaudhary delivered the inspiring talk to one and all present there and announced the result. The winners of Mr. and Ms. Fresher’s were Girish, D.Pharma,1st year and Suman, B.Pharma, 1st year respectively. The other awards given were, Mr. Personality and Mr. Talented to Manish and Kapil respectively. Titles were given by Dean Prof. Dr. Hema Chaudhary along with the jury to the respective students with sachets and gifts.
Finally the vote of thanks was delivered by Dean Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences Prof. Dr. Hema Chaudhary and a group photograph of all teachers were clicked.
The mercury began to rise; the dance floor was left open for the all present there. Joy and happiness could be seen among all.
