Coding Competition Game of Codes

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering organized a Coding Competition “Game of Codes” on 19th February 2020 in Computer Labs of the department. The Competition acted as a great platform for all those who have a knack for programming and consider solving algorithmic questions a healthy mental exercise. The event started with the welcome of the chief guest Prof. Rampal Singh, Dean Faculty of Engineering & Technology and Mr. Ajay Dureja, Head, Department of CSE. It was organized for all the students of different departments of Faculty of Engineering & Technology and Department of Computer Science and Applications. In this competition students got awareness about the actual benefits of programming with the help of a learning platform to create eco-friendly solutions for different global problems. The orators explained the brief introduction abou t the test environment. The event was attended by numbers of students including 62 participants and staff members from various departments of Faculty of Engineering & Technology. There were 31 teams with two members in each team from different branches.

It was an exciting experience for the participants to be the part of this Coding Competition. A competition generally involves the host presenting a set of logical or mathematical problems to the contestants and participants are required to write computer programs capable of solving each problem. Different teams enthusiastically showcased their programming skills and two teams comprising of four members were declared as winners.

The team of Aakansha and Monika from CSA department were declared winners and team of Rahul Kore and Aman from CSA department were declared as Runner ups. The Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Technology also expressed his views with the aim to circulate the benefits and importance of programming in this advanced world. In his speech he briefed about the coding literacy.

The winners were felicitated with trophies and certificates by Prof. Rampal Singh, Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Technology and Mr. Ajay Dureja, Head, Department of CSE and Faculty Coordinators Dr. Jasvinder Kaur and Ms. Diksha Chawla. The participants and coordinators of the event were also honored by giving certificates.

The event was concluded by Mr. Ajay Dureja, Head, Department of CSE with a vote of thanks to faculty coordinators, conveners and members of departmental clubs for making this event successful.
