Department of Law, PDM University organized a competition for the students of PDM University to create awareness about the Legal Rights of Women in India on 27th December 2018. This competition was sponsored by National Commission for Women. Under this competition an objective type test was organized. This test included Questions from the various Acts related to Women’s Rights and Empowerment. In total, 52 students participated in the test.
A programme was also organized on this occasion. This was chaired by Prof. (Dr.) A.K.Bakhshi, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, PDM University and attended amongst others by Prof. (Dr.) R.C.Bhattacharjee, Hon’ble Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Paramjit Singh, Registrar, Prof. M.E.Haider, Controller of Examination, Prof. A.S. Dhindwal, Dean Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. B.P. Singh, Head & Dean, Faculty of Law, members of Faculty of Law and students.
Prof. A.K.Bakhshi, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. R.C.Bhattacharjee, Hon’ble Pro Vice Chancellor and Prof.. B.P. Singh Head & Dean, Faculty of Law addressed the audience regarding the legal rights of women in India and their importance. The results of the test were also declared on this occasion by Prof. B.P. Singh.
