Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, PDMU celebrated World Pharmacists Day on the theme “Transforming Global Health” with great zeal and zest on September 25, 2020. The event took place on virtually on MS Teams Application from 11:00 am onwards. The esteemed event was graced by the presence of honourable Prof. (Dr.) Hema Chaudhary, Dean F/o Pharmaceutical Sciences, faculty members and budding pharmacists.
The event commenced with a beautiful video by final year students which briefed everyone about the theme of Pharmacists Day . The program proceeded with poster presentation, posters were presented by students along with illustration of their posters. Yashika a student of 3rd year, B.Pharm addressed the gathering with an informative speech on the prestigious day.
A Quiz was organized by Kartik and Riya, students of final year which created eminent ardour amongst students. Further the gathering was appraised by Prof.(Dr.) Hema Chaudhary, Dean F/o Pharmaceutical Sciences. She conversed about the importance of this esteemed event and role of pharmacists in our society. Her words encouraged all the budding pharmacists to work hard and give their contribution towards global health. Kapil, a student of 2nd year, D.Pharm recited a shayari depicting the role of a pharmacist which amplified enthusiasm amongst the students.
Towards the end of the event results for posters competition were announced. First position was bagged by Ganesh, 4th year B.Pharm, Dipita, 3rd year B.Pharm. secured second position and third position was obtained by Archana, 3rd year B.Pharm. The winners and the participants were awarded an E-Certificate. The program reached towards the conclusion with a vote of thanks proposed by Neha, 4th year B.Pharm student.
