It is to bring to the kind notice of the Deans/HODs/Incharge/Faculty Co-ordinators/Staff and Students of various Faculties that PDM University is celebrating “National Science Day 2020” on 28th Feb 2020 (Friday) at Amphitheatre, PDMU on the Theme: “Women in Science” by organising a Quiz competition and Science Exhibition cum competition.
National Science Day is celebrated to appreciate the success and contribution of India and Individuals in India to the Science and Technology field and this would be the best day to encourage aspiring innovators and students who are willing to exhibit their talent through their science projects and testing the knowledge by quizzing.
Every year National Science Day is celebrated on 28th February with a theme that spreads the message about the importance of science. This year Department of Science and Technology has decided the theme of National Science Day 2020 as: “Women in Science” .
All the Faculties of PDMU are invited to participate and display working models on various aspects of Science in the Science Exhibition cum Competition. The students of every Faculty of PDMU will be allowed to display total 08 models (maximum) in the Exhibition. Students can make models of the various phenomenon in nature and explain them to other students and the audience.
The Faculty Co-ordinators are requested to select best 08 models in their respective Faculty and forward the names of the selected teams with their model titles and requirements (desired if any: such as electrical connectivity, water resource etc.,) to DSW office by 26th Feb 2020, after approval by the concerned Dean/HOD.
The Science based Quiz competition will also be organised on 28th Feb 2020 in Amphitheatre area parallel with the Science Exhibition.
The guidelines for the Quiz competition and Science Exhibition will be informed separately.
